To begin the work, Mangini's hands were raised to the sky with sticks illuminating. What followed was a bombastic performance on floor toms showcasing a distinct and unified shape on either side of the drumkit. The results of these captures were mesmerizing to watch. Quickly, it becomes clear that Mangini's speed and precise attacks were resulting in circular orb-like patterns. Abstract, yes, but telling of the artist's control, as each hand does its part in unison.

Measuring 30"x 30" on canvas, there are a total of 75 in the edition. All are are signed by Mike Mangini.

This collection of artwork, titled "Symmetry Beyond Planck," is a career first for Mike Mangini. Crafted over the last year, Mangini is one of a highly select series of drumming pioneers building fine artwork from rhythm. The medium, we call "Rhythmic Expressionism." An extraordinary effort from start to finish, the work is intended to unfold over time for viewers as they live with the pieces in their homes and studios.

This work is designed to be vibrant, abstract and display the distinct artform found within Mangini's rhythmic approach, from sound to sight. Through this process, Mangini is working with drumsticks that light in a variety of ways much like a painter would use paint with oils or acrylics. His movements throughout the beats are similar to paintstrokes. Working with art team/publisher SceneFour, these elements are brought into a studio as color channels and movements are scrutinized meticulously to bring forth Mangini's intended visual for an extraordinary final image before it is laid to canvas.

In total, 10 different works are released in this collection, with each rhythmic form conceptualized and named by Mike Mangini. Each piece is available in small editions and individually signed by Mike Mangini. All are available worldwide to collectors through www.mikemanginiart.com. Each includes a Certificate of Authenticity by SceneFour.
