Dueling Tesla Hands

In the process of building visuals from rhythm, there are often "figures" that come forward...mysterious and angelic, they appear from almost another dimension. Case in point, "Dueling Tesla Hands" is evidence of the electricity that results from a powerful hit to the floor toms in unison and watching the lights decay as they twirl above Mangini's head. During creation, Mangini and SceneFour became fascinated with the figures that we began to see within this Mangini technique. "Dueling Tesla Hands" is a prime example of these figures from another dimension and the electricity filling the air.

Measuring 40"x 30" on canvas, there are a total of 50 pieces in the edition. All are individually signed by Mike Mangini.

This collection of artwork, titled "Symmetry Beyond Planck," is a career first for Mike Mangini. Crafted over the last year, Mangini is one of a highly select series of drumming pioneers building fine artwork from rhythm. The medium, we call "Rhythmic Expressionism." An extraordinary effort from start to finish, the work is intended to unfold over time for viewers as they live with the pieces in their homes and studios.

This work is designed to be vibrant, abstract and display the distinct artform found within Mangini's rhythmic approach, from sound to sight. Through this process, Mangini is working with drumsticks that light in a variety of ways much like a painter would use paint with oils or acrylics. His movements throughout the beats are similar to paintstrokes. Working with art team/publisher SceneFour, these elements are brought into a studio as color channels and movements are scrutinized meticulously to bring forth Mangini's intended visual for an extraordinary final image before it is laid to canvas.

In total, 10 different works are released in this collection, with each rhythmic form conceptualized and named by Mike Mangini. Each piece is available in small editions and individually signed by Mike Mangini. All are available worldwide to collectors through www.mikemanginiart.com. Each includes a Certificate of Authenticity by SceneFour.
